Robin Gara
Robin Gara is a San Antonio based abstract artist who paints in acrylics, often incorporating other media. She is in love with color and always has been. Growing up in rural Ohio, she spent many hours outside where she made a deep and profound connection with the natural world where different seasons contained nuances of endless color palettes. After retiring from a thirty year career in education, Robin returned to her first love and began a daily painting practice.
Robin has shown in many venues in and around San Antonio, including San Antonio Art League and Museum, Mockingbird Handprints, Centro Cultural Aztlan, Blue Star Brewing Co., and Bihl Haus Arts. She received The Richard Conn Memorial Mixed Media award for a painting that was included in The San Antonio Art League and Museum’s juried exhibit in 2022. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the US.
