About Robin:
I am in love with color, and have been my whole life. Growing up in rural Ohio, I spent many hours outside. I made a deep and profound connection with the natural world where different seasons contained nuances of endless color palettes.
Since retiring from teaching in 2015, I have been engaged in a daily painting practice, mostly using acrylics, sometimes incorporating other mediums. As I move through this journey, my paintings are becoming more abstract. I am intrigued with the way different colors interact with each other. There are endless possibilities, and it doesn't matter whether I am painting an abstract landscape or a completely abstract image--color is my main focus. I am also concerned with capturing the memory of place and find that various color combinations aid in accomplishing this.
