Gallery Opening: Raíces y Recuerdos

This vibrant new exhibition curated by Jon Hinojosa launches the 2025-2026 Agarita Loft Exhibition season and is part of Xicanx Month in San Antonio. The Exhibit spotlights a powerful collective of emerging and established Chicano artists whose work speaks to identity, memory, and cultural resistance. Through mixed media, painting, sculpture, and installation, the show explores the intersection of tradition and innovation rooted in the Mexican American experience.

Each artist brings their own narrative—steeped in family, ritual, food, land, and community—to the forefront, reflecting the complexities of what it means to be Chicano today. The exhibit invites audiences to witness how cultural pride, resilience, and artistic expression become tools for storytelling and transformation.

Featuring art work by Patricia Ortiz, Jose Esquivel, Joe Lopez, Margarita Cabrera, and Adriana M. Garcia.
