Agarita returns to the San Antonio Museum of Art during its 3-hour free admission for an immersive musical experience that highlights the aesthetics of four unique galleries. Visitors will choose their own path, guided by sounds Baroque, Modern and Contemporary throughout the museum and culminating in special performances in the Contemporary and Latin American galleries.

Embracing the resonance of the chapel’s glorious, ornate space, Agarita’s program will include a variety of works on a variety of instruments. VALENTINE'S DAY AT ROOSEVELT LIBRARY WITH AGARITA

How can music evoke love without needing a single lyric? This Valentine’s, join us for masterpieces of the Romantic Era that each tell their own love story: hear whimsical folk dances of Dvorak, an intimate waltz of Chopin, nostalgic songs by Grieg and Schumann, a joyous Brahmsian celebration, and more. Come for the concert, charcuterie, wine, and a three-course dinner with a surprise at the end.

All proceeds benefit Agarita Inspires!, Agarita’s educational initiative providing innovative music education to over 12,000 students in Bexar County at no charge.

In addition, there will be a silent auction featuring an 18 hole round of golf at the Oak Hills Country Club with Daniel Anastasio, an Agarita House Concert, and other items.

Join cellist, Ignacio Gallego and pianist, Daniel Anastasio from Agarita for an evening of tango and Spanish inspired music. A native of Spain, Ignacio will bring a uniquely authentic flavor to music of Debussy, De Falla, and Cassado, culminating in Piazzolla’s majestic Le Grand Tango. All proceeds from this evening will benefit Agarita’s educational initiative, Agarita Inspires!. In addition, there will be a silent auction featuring art, wine and a personal paella experience. Come for the concert and charcuterie with complementary wine, or stay the entire evening for a four course dinner following the concert with a surprise at the end.

Composer and sound artist Nadia Botello creates a pair of innovative works for Agarita that interact with the sounds and history of the San Antonio River.

Pool opens at 6:30pm to experience an underwater sound installation by Botello. The live musical program will be performed at 7:30pm, with audio live streamed in the pool for an immersive program.

Come and watch the program on deck or swim to the sounds! Reception to follow.

If bringing children... please note that this is a concert/sound event, and we will be encouraging a quiet/intentional atmosphere both in and out of the pool to give everyone the space to really listen and experience.
