Mark | Trace | Gesture invites viewers into the raw language of painting stripped of story and subject. This exhibition focuses on the primal acts of making — the brushstroke, the imprint, the movement across canvas — where each mark is both a record of presence and a meditation on form. Rather than illustrating a narrative, these works highlight process and immediacy: paint as energy, surface as field, gesture as meaning. The exhibit asks audiences to slow down, to see the hand in motion, and to experience painting as a living dialogue between artist, material, and moment. Featuring art by Robin Gara, Louis Vega Trevino, Mary James, Suzanne Paquette and Paula Owen.
