Being a sculptor requires vigor, especially when carving stone. In my style, this practice demands a respectful conversation between stone and carver in order to coax and massage energetic ribbons out of the marble, onyx, or alabaster to twist and turn like a wild roller coaster ride. Sinuous and ribbon-like, my stone sculptures can move with mind-bending beauty to trick the eye into forgetting their nature, some even appearing as if scooped like ice cream.

Growing up without a discernible creative community or mentors, I was forced to learn by experimentation, trial and error. After many years of drawing and painting experimentation, I finally found my true calling in stone carving, and with this discovery came a community of its very own. My early years remembered, my goals are to continue to build and expand this community, push creative boundaries, and experiment with new materials.
