Alejandro Sifuentes
Alejandro Sifuentes is a metalsmith from San Antonio, TX. His career spans over 50 years of creating contemporary jewelry with traditional techniques. He began his journey at the Southwest School of Art taking metals classes, then over the years he studied on his own and with mentors. Drawing from personal experiences and spiritual connections, his work communicates with the materials and the wearer. He uses the element of fire to explore the limits of textures and surfaces. Each piece he makes is the product of hand forging, carving, and casting his ideas to the physical world. His work can be seen at his gallery, Sifuentes Metalsmith, in La Villita Historic Arts Village in downtown San Antonio.
